Greenfields School

e-news

There's still time to reply to my letter!

Hi folks! You probably remember my recent letter giving you a full update on the school and asking for your views and thoughts. While many replied very fully and with lots of positive feedback, I think there are still a few of you who haven't had time to put pen to paper yet. Not to worry! There's still time to answer! And -just in case you can't quite put your hand on the reply slip right this minute- here are the questions for you. You can even reply via e-mail if you wish!

1. Could you please provide us with an up-to-date e-mail address through which we can deliver to you our regular e-newsletter? This newsletter may often contain items of importance, announcements and things of which you should be aware. You may need to check to ensure it doesn’t get labelled as “Spam”.

2. What would you say were THREE key things which attracted you to Greenfields?

3. If you are a parent, how would you describe your main needs and wants as a parent in relation to schooling?

4. How did you originally find out about us?

5. What do you feel you would need to know in order to effectively promote the school to your friends and family?

6. If you are a parent, how often would you like to hear from us about your child’s progress?

7. Is there any question which you have always wanted to ask me as Head Teacher?

8. Is there anything else you want to communicate to me?

Many thanks! This information is used to pilot the school in directions which YOU as a parent want it to go. Be as complete in your answers as you wish, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Guy Fawkes Night & the Student Parliament

Following a very successful Halloween Party before the half-term break, Greenfields hosted a spectacular and very well attended Guy Fawkes' Night with bonfire (complete with guy) and fireworks. Given Guy Fawkes' role in attempting to destroy Parliament, it was ironic that this was followed the next day by the election of candidates to Greenfields' first Student Parliament, in which students will have their say in the way the school runs. Stay tuned for more as it happens!
